MONEY, OPPORTUNITY & SITUATIONAL AWARENESS
I just got back from vacation with the family, and as you already know, it’s always good to be back home.
We were down in Wildwood on the Jersey Shore and had the opportunity to visit a few good friends and family. We lucked out with the weather because while we were driving it was raining bad, but once we arrived, the weather was great until we left. We arrived home to sunshine and a nice sunset.
The main topic to this post is about the place that we stayed at. I ordered the reservations online and paid $562.27 for two nights. We were across the street from the beach and were on the 5th floor with an ocean view.
As we checked into the hotel, and older lady in her 60’s checked us in. She said the elevator just broke, and it should be fixed in about 30 minutes. Three days later when we checked out the elevator was still not working.
When we got in the room, the view got our attention and so we didn’t see the close details of our situation …yet. We changed clothes and got ready to check out the beach.
During the next two days we went to the beach, hit the pool, went to the Boardwalk a few times, and ate out every day. Overall, we had a fairly good time, great weather and got the chance to relax a little, …but our accommodations sucked.
The room size was OK, and there was no phone, which of course didn’t matter. However, the room and the hotel were run down. The bathtub was dirty, the drain in the sink was clogged, the bed had a sheet and a dirty cover and there was a crack in the wall that got a little bigger by the time we left. I would expect a lot more as well as better for $562.27 for two nights.
The point I’m trying to make here is that people want to make money but sometimes they take advantage of the consumer. This was a perfect example of bad service and accommodations.
No sweat and life goes on, and hopefully we learn something from experiences like this. I’ve been home and off all weekend and tomorrow is Monday and time to get back to work.
I have to edit and publish my book “It’s All About the Money, and I’m also working on a new book about Public Domain. Some of the topics that I will also cover are graphic design, POD (Print on Demand) Art, Photography as well as running an online business.
If you know anyone that is interested in any of the topics that I mentioned, please send them a link to this article. I believe that I will be sharing information that people that are interested in these topics will value.
We live in a vastly different world today than we did before the pandemic and to benefit we need to change and at times we need to adapt.
I see many opportunities ahead but there is work involved. Like the old saying goes, “There is no free lunch!”
There is so much that I want to do as well as must do for my family, so as I get things moving, I will keep you informed and updated.
I will be posting more often so follow this blog, but before I end, I want you to know that an important quote that I came up with is this: “The most difficult thing to find in life is someone that you can trust!” Someone else might have said the same thing but this is my quote that I came up with from my own life experiences.
This quote I believe every intelligent person will agree with. If you agree with me, then I hope you will follow me because I will never lie to you or ever mislead you. Plus, the information that I will be sharing will be of value to those that are interested in the following topics:
Art, Wall Art, POD, Graphic Design, Photography, pictures, Public Domain, as well as creating an online business.
Until the next time, have a great day!
